The Open Group, the vendor-neutral technology standards organization, is hosting its upcoming event October 30 – November 2, 2023 in Houston, Texas. The event brings together experts, government officials, industry leaders, and experienced practitioners in areas such as Enterprise Architecture (EA), Cybersecurity and Zero Trust, Energy, Process Automation, Sustainability, Open Industry Standards, and the Digital Enterprise.
Starting on Monday, the sessions will focus on the intersection between Cybersecurity and Sustainability. Attendees will hear from Sammy Lakshmanan, Principal, Environmental Social & Governance, PwC, who will discuss how to future-proof sustainability with evolving stakeholder expectations. Furthermore, Chris Frost, Principal Enterprise Architect, Global Delivery Architecture Division, Fujitsu, will share his insights on developing secure and sustainable digital products.
On Tuesday, the speakers will dive into topics such as EA and Healthcare. Charles Betz, Lead EA Priority, Forrester, will reflect on the Forrester 2023 Enterprise Architecture Awards, co-judged by The Open Group. Attendees will then be introduced to the enhanced Dutch ZiRA for business continuity planning by Jason Lee, The Open Group Healthcare Forum Director, and Scott Sloan, Chief Technical Officer, Kyndryl. From Tuesday to Thursday, The Open Group OSDU® Forum will also be hosting a range of sessions to discuss the development of transformational technology to support the world’s changing energy needs.
The sessions on Wednesday and Thursday will focus on Supply Chain Security. Attendees will learn about current best practices for supply chain security, current requirements detailed in the O-TTPS, and ways that organizations have implemented and benefited from them. Presentations will also detail best practices around cyber supply chain security and business continuity management in the supply chain from both industry and government speakers.
