A Bank and a Health Company Announce CIO Appointments

Christopher Campise and Dan Magoc have been named CIO by their respective employers.

Financial Institutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISI), parent company of Five Star Bank (Five Star or the Bank) and Courier Capital, LLC, has announced that Campise has joined the Bank as Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer.

In this role, Campise will lead the development and implementation of the Bank’s technology strategies, systems, and processes, while further enhancing the information technology infrastructure to support the organization’s long-term objectives. Campise will report to W. Jack Plants II, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer.

Campise joins Five Star from Delaware North Companies, where he served as Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture since 2021. Prior to that, Campise helped lead enterprise architecture during his seven year tenure at Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and spent nine years with the University at Buffalo. Earlier in his career, he worked at several Wester New York technology and software companies.

Campise, who is based at Five Star Bank Centre in Amherst, N.Y., previously served as a board member of Habitat for Humanity Buffalo and the Gartner Advisory Board. He is also a past volunteer with Mission: Ignite and InfoTech WNY. Campise earned his B.S. in Computer Science from Canisius College.

Meanwhile, IINTEGRIS Health named Magoc as its new chief information officer.

Magoc is a proven, results-oriented information technology (IT) executive leader. He brings extensive experience in IT strategy and technology roadmaps, as well as expertise in technical infrastructure, enterprise architecture, integration and project management.

He is coming from Mercy Health in St. Louis, where he has held progressive IT leadership roles for over 15 years.

Since 2017, he has been their vice president of business transformation, leading the organization’s business relationship management team and being responsible for business unit collaboration and strategic partnerships to align business and technology strategies, driving engagement and transformation.

Magoc has a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Computer Science from Frontbonne University and a Master of Business Administration with a finance focus from St. Louis University. His first day at INTEGRIS Health will be Nov. 18.
